Description

This quilt has been almost a year in the making, and I still haven't finished it. Perhaps this weekend, perhaps the next.
I bought two Northern Cardinals jelly rolls on sale last year, and decided to make this. I didn't have much experience with quilting at all when I started, nor did I really know what I was doing. That's ok. It will still be warm & snuggly.

Finally finished this last weekend, just hadn't updated until now. For some reason that remains a mystery to me, I decided to hand-sew the binding. I usually machine-stitch it. Not really sure what led me to this decision, but at least it looks pretty!

This is very nice and love the quilting you did. I love quilts that have pieced backs.

That's a lot of work on the back! Did the double seams give you any problem with quilting?

True

This is beautiful love the fabrics and quilting. And I think you have one of my cat's sibling;-)!

Nice and scrappy, the Northern Cardinals fabrics are great and I like how you used them.

Clairealex I didn't notice anything different with quilting, which is to say that I fiddled with the tension at first and at one point had to rip out some stitches and re-wind a bobbin. I am completely self-taught on quilting, though, so I wouldn't know if something that I fixed was a major issue or normal.

Illogicalkat I love your attitude. You might fix major issues that could lead others to abandon a project!
