I love the quilting on this pillow.
Just FYI, you've entered it into the Fall For Solids group, but not the actual contest (it's a little confusing the way that works). Go to this page: https://www.threadbias.com/groups/pink-castle-fabrics-fall-for-solids-contest/group_contests/fall-for-solids-pillow-contest
and scroll down to the Contest Entry header, then select your project from the drop-down menu and enter it into the contest. :)
Thank you . It took me ages to figure it out . I eventually found the terms and conditions button which allowed me in ! Thanks for letting me know .
Love this! I have the pattern too, and was thinking about making a quite wide table runner. Could you give us more details about the colors you used, and that wonderful circle embroidery. Is it hand embroidered or done by machine?
Hello and thank you . The circle quilting took me such a long time to learn but I was determined . I started by drawing a circle with a glass as a template and then using a walking foot I sewed on the line . Using the line as a guide begin by sewing concentric circles always the same distance apart .finish off each circle and cut threads . I had a seam guide that fits into the left or right of the back of the shank . The square quilting is a spiral starting in the middle and working out . Overlap your squares and circles a little bit . The colors are bits and pieces of grays and whites , kona snow and a piece of beige color . The bit in the middle is a linen blend . I handstitched yellow running stitches into the middle of the circles .you can see more on my Flickr . Happy Go Lizzie.
I love the yellow circle centers.
Thank you . I wanted to add some texture and a little bit of yellow to balance the color more !
