Description

My avatar is my first wool project. I have wanted to make a quilt of wool but was not sure what to do. My lovely daughter (Angela) called me all excited she found a store locally that had tons of wool knowing I wanted to do one. I went and talked to the lady in the store as I had no clue how to start on one. She talked me into doing the candle holder to make sure I liked it. I loved doing this and started buying the wool to make a big blanket. This is my first block. I just started this a week ago.

I would also like to mention that Angela tore the berries off the day I brought this over to ask what she thought of it.

pfft....I put them back!! Stop complaining.

I love your avatar and love this one even more...it will be beautiful when done. How do you finish each edge? And why did Angela tear off the berries? Inquiring minds want more details;-)

Oops did not see the next post but still want more details!!

I will actually be making enough to make a full size quilt. I will sew the blocks together then put a backing on and make Angela bind it for me.

Oh sure...I see how it is now!! (and for the inquiring mind....the fusing didn't hold and they fell off, I swear!! ;)

Likely story!

True

Quiltnwool LOL but do you hand appliqué around each cut out part of the flower? Or machine? Sounds like more than fusing is needed so no one "accidentally" pulls anything off ever again;-)!

Quiltnwool

I will be doing hand applique. The fusing is just to hold them on til I do the hand work. I will just keep it away from her from now on.

That's beautiful. Wool applique is on my bucket list.
