This is cute did it really take 10 minutes?! And I love block in your avatar did you make it?

Speattle

Pretty fabric combo.

Minka

Thank you so much. Yes I made the block. It's one of the blocks from my quilting class. The table runner is so quick and easy, it's insane! But it probably took me closer to 30 minutes.

This was a kit from Olde City Quilts in Burlington. I don't have a real good color sense. So kits are good for me.

Minka Another great way to not have to deal with having a sense of color or figuring out which fabrics work together is to use collections. I have quilted for years and use to really struggle with it...then they came out with collections and I have used several and still do. But it also help me gain skills and confidence in choosing my own colors and fabrics and now I do both!

I just love this; it there a pattern I can get for it?

Minka

I have the directions. If you want I could snail mail them to you. They say that the directions can be shared so I don't have to worry about copywrite issues.

Do you mean for the table runner? If you google "ten Minute table runner" you will get a lot of results.

Minka

Yes I have the directions for the ten minute table runner. Googling it is a good idea.

Quilt455

Minka and Speattle, I will try Google. Funny I spend a lot of time lately on the computer and I never thing to google anything.

This is such a cute runner and the fabric is wonderful. You can use it for Christmas, summertime, back-to-school, you name it, it works! I made the same pattern in my Open Sew and it was fast but not 10 minutes, more like 40. I'm anal and pin everything!

Minka

Terryt1955 I am also a pinner. Guess that's why it takes me longer too.

In case anyone wants to see how it's done here it is shown on you tube....

All it takes is a 1/2 yard for the backing and "border" and a 1/3 yd for the center focal fabric.
