I did a workship with Terrie Sanderlin
and made Four Roses, about 9 inches square. I'd tried before, but the sewing machine ate the fabric. Her method, using a grid and gluing fabric squares to paper, overcame that problem. I've always intended to make more of them, but haven't yet. I used a pattern from her book and changed the colors so that the result would be less crosslike and more flowerlike. I have since gotten a Singer Featherweight machine, and can manage pieces that are 1-inch.
