Description

I saw a wonderful tutorial by Jenny Doan from Missouri Star Quilt Company for a friendship braid using a binding tool. I had a wonderful jelly roll of Arnold's Attic by Moda that I hadn't used so I got to work. I'm now working on the borders using a flying geese pattern. What a fun way to try new methods and have a quilt ready for next fall!

This is really pretty. A very nice use for a jelly roll. What fabric did you use for the borders?

Kathie

Mouseinmypocket Thank you! I can't remember the exact name but it's from the Arnold's Attic line. I'm using the blue (I think)! I really need to finish this since its now officially Fall smile !

Kathie Well, if you don't get it done, you can always use it next year.

This is great! I love the look of a braided pattern but have never tried it. I might just have to, since this one is so beautiful!

Kathie

Janquilter Thank you. It took me awhile to place the strips the way I wanted them as there are so many choices and I love the fabric. I just got very busy with other projects so this one has stalled.

I missed this one! I love it...will have to look for tutorial!

Kathie

True Sorry, this was one of my first projects so I forgot to add the tutorial. It's there now smile !

Kathie Oh goodie!!!! thanks

Amanda

I love these braided quilts too - and your colors are so cozy and warm. Beautiful!

Kathie

Thanks everyone! I'd better pull it out and get working on it. Oh . . . but I have to finish that Pirate Quilt first! Only have the outer borders to quilt and then its onto binding!
