Description

One of my very first quilts, probably about 1996 or so.  I had been cutting squares of each fabric that I bought and then made blocks from them.  Not a perfect quilt.  But I did hand quilt it on a frame that used to belong to my husbands grandmother.  Nothing hugs you quite like a hand quilted quilt!

That's a nice idea to get a scrappy look , cut a few squares from every fabric you get. I don't know what you have - it looks prefectly fine to me ..

Strandkorbtraum As I was quilting this I found all kinds of misses, some as much as a quarter of an inch, puckers and other issues. And you are right, now you can't see them! A lot of the fabrics were cheapies, and quite a few of them are fading. But that is ok, it keeps us warm at night.

I love scrappy quilts - and this is a beautiful one!

Nice quilt. I've not seen a baptist fan in a while, it's a lovely choice.

This is beautiful. I love scrappy...and I love the bowtie...so traditional. Lovely hand quilting.
