Description

This was my first quilt last year after not quilting for two years...it was my re-commitment to finding time to do things that bring me joy.  I recently donated it to the rescue we adopted out yellow Labrador Retriever from and it brought in $600 in an online auction we held!!  Made with Cherish Nature by Deb Strain.  Another amazing fabric collection.

I love the way the pattern shows off the beautiful fabric. Love the auction story. Congratulations.

This is a great quilt, True - and for such an awesome cause. You rock!!!

I love it! Especially the coulors. I think I might do something similar for a friend who ordered a quilt.

Thanks...the colors in person were incredible...love this quilt.

Just saw this as you had linked it to your new baby quilt for Sawyer. I can't believe you gave up quilting for 2 years! And it brought in a nice chunk of change too for those wonderful labs!

Terryt1955 thank you sadly I have gone longer than that not quilting:-( Being a single mom with a full time job did not leave a lot of time for many years...so I would quilt then stop, etc. And for some odd reason the fact I could decide to turn my dining room into whatever I wanted it to be took years to sink in;-)

Terryt1955

Well I sure am glad you claimed the dining room and turned into the "mad quilter" so that I can enjoy all the many beautiful quilts you have shared here! You truely are an inspiration!

Terryt1955 thank you do much you just made my day!

I'm having so much fun revisiting your D9P's!! I'm so glad you linked them to Carolmarie 's Project in Distress post. I can't believe I have yet to make this pattern. Well that's about to change!

True

Terryt1955 You will love it...I did these two before I had a design wall so with one you could make yourself a bit nuts but also play more with placement. This is still one of my all time favorite quilts both because I just loved the fabric but it also did good for some one else!

Quilterinmotion

True , personally I am SO glad you started quilting again. You were my first "friend" on TB and I'm so thrilled to have met so many other wonderful women quilters. I think Curleyboy is the only wonderful men quilters I've met here. This quilt is fantastic and the amount it raised for the Humane Society is phenomenal! Way to go!

Quilterinmotion Thank you Marsha and back at ya! I look at the post card you made me every single day!

Guess I totally missed this months ago! I love this pattern and the fabric. So pretty. Glad you got back to doing what you love...cuz you make such beautiful quilts!! :)

True

Conniharns Thank you so much! This one was hard to give away but since it brough SOS Labrador Retriever Rescue money it was worth it! Ironically the winning bidder ended up living in Maine and I got to hand deliver it to her...seeing how happy it made her made me happy!
