Oh, that is pretty.
Only the 2nd thing and you've already got circular geese that you designed?? Wow, I'm impressed! Looks great too!
You are way-way talented. Your own design, and your second project!! Amazing!
Seriously? Did you also quilt it? I'm thoroughly impressed as this is gorgeous!
Really love this- just great!
Wow gorgeous and amazing for anyone but your second quilt!! And you designed it spectacular job!
This is so bright and cheerful -- I'm inspired!
Thanks everyone! Yes, I quilted it too. It probably helps that I'm married to the uber talented Brioni, aka Flossyblossy, from Fat Quarterly!
Curly_boy , is this pattern going to be available somewhere? I love circling geese (did you see my ornament?) and really really want to make this!!! Please, tell me where I can get a copy of your fantastic pattern. It is truly an amazing piece of work for any quilter, but exceptional for a second project.
Quilterinmotion I haven't made it available anywhere yet. The templates are in pretty rough shape but if you contact me via email (you can find my address on Flickr or my blog) I could probably send you something.
Wow! That is amazing. You did a beautiful job!
Beautiful. I love Flying Geese in the first place, but I love it when they go insane!!! :) Great job!
so great, did you paper piece these?
That's beautiful. I love the color changes.
Fantastic design, I never thought of this! Great job on the paper piecing! :)
Congratulations . Awesome mini !
I love it! Also, Just noticed that you are on here too. :) You're in DQS this round right?
Emedoodle I am! I think swaps are great to try out uber-complicated things you'd never attempt on a whole quilt.
I have no idea how to do a curved flying geese but after seeing this beauty I sure want t give it a try. Just love that it's in bright solids on a crisp white background. And congrats on being features on the top 25 projects for 2012!
Terryt1955 Thanks for letting me know! I had no idea it was picked, I'm honoured.
Paper foundation piecing is pretty easy. The hardest part was the curved sewing of all the elements.
Tell your wifey there's competition in the house!
I love the name of the project, too! lol
Curly_boy , thanks so much for your work! I'm going there right after I leave here!! I may feature it on my blog on "Friday Finds" if you don't mind. I always give credit to the blog I link to so no need to worry about my stealing your thunder either. Excited....maybe I'll put aside my commitments for June and do these instead!!! LOL
Quilterinmotion Thanks, I don't mind at all! I've started a group on Flickr with the same name for people to share their versions. I'd live to see someone make it in patterned fabric!
This is awesome, I love it.
This is gorgeous! Thanks so much for providing the templates. I've downloaded and (crosses finger) some day will tackle it.
