Ellen's Garden by Sandyquiltz
I'd been in love with this pattern out of the book Jelly Roll Quilts
by Pam and Nicky Lintott (2008) for some time. As soon as I saw it in the book, it seemed destined for my mother-in-law. I finally made it in 2011 for and gave it to her for her birthday that year. If I recall, most of the fabrics were a jelly roll that I supplemented considerably from my stash of strips. It wasn't a very difficult pattern to make, just sort of pokey. And trying to randomize is always the hardest thing to do! I worked so hard to make sure now two fabrics ended up next to each other and Im' sure I missed something somewhere. But I love the end result. Leftover strips for the narrow border. I had it longarm quilted (pantograph) because otherwise it would never have gotten done.
