Description

I picked up this kit at the Long Beach International quilt show. It is a really sweet little table runner. All I need to do to finish is figure out the placement for the hexagons, make a quilt sandwich and quilt it.
Update: 2/25/13 started quilting 2/26/13 finished quilting and started binding 2/27/13 finished binding, sewed on button and complete the project.

I love this! I picked up some of that line of fabric at Sister's and I have yet to use it. This is going to be wonderful for the holidays.

I can see this is going to be a terrific table runner... can hardly wait to see it when it's done. Love the fabric!

Janquilter The pattern is super cute that I am using I can't wait to finish it. I really hope to get it done before Christmas.

Jenniffier

Stitchcat Thank you so much!

Any idea what the name of the fabric group is?

Stamdl

This is so elegant looking! Can't wait to see more of it.

Jenniffier

Stitchcat I think I still have the charm pack wrapped with the project. I will let you know if I can find it.

Jenniffier

Stamdl thank you

stitchcat

Jenniffier That would be great! Thanks : )

Stitchcat It is french generals lumiere de noel. It is from about 2 years ago, but you can still find some of the line on some online fabric stores.

Jenniffier

Carolmarie phew finally finished it.

I love the feel of this~ so Old World! It's going to make your table so pretty!!

Terryt1955

Oh yes, and congrats and getting your 2nd finish in just under the wire!!

Mymble

So pretty!

True

Congrats on a gorgeous finish!

Jenniffier

True Terryt1955 Thanks for the cheering on for the finish. I am so excited to have finished two of my ufos with our group and to have made a lot of progress on two other projects.

Jenniffier

Mymble Terryt1955 Thanks for the compliment. I think it will look great at Christmas time and to think I have a Christmas project actually finished for once.

Rebeccajeffsmith

Yay for your 2nd finish! This is very pretty. I love hexy flowers so much. Never saw this design before. I bet you can't wait for Christmas to show it off!

Jenniffier

Rebeccajeffsmith I really can't. I actually have enough materials left over for a couple pillows. The question is will those get done in time to be put out with the table runner :) Thank so much for the congratulations!

Terryt1955

I don't know what the colors of your house are but this doesn't have to be confined to Christmas only. These are classic beautiful colors! And I would go for the 2 pillows while you have the hexies in your blood. And again, they could stay out year round in my home!

Jenniffier

Terryt1955 all the hexis have been done foe a long time. As for the table runner and pillows, I actually have two big GSDs that when left alone and get mad choose to eat anything left out. One has a thing for fabric and the other pillows. So the only time things stay out is when I am home or when we have people over and right now I am pulling out my spring items when ever I can :)

Terryt1955

Ha, HA. I've been there before. My son's Great Dane chewed bed mattresses and pillows along with remote controls and cell phones. We have to "baby proof" the house like crazy while she was living with us.It's pretty hard to crate a dane or even confine her to a fenced in area. They moved out 2 years ago and I'm still finding chewed up items. So cute!

Jenniffier

Terryt1955 it sounds like you understand completely. My whole house is baby proofed and every morning I run around making sure everything is clean and all doors are closed. One keeps having to go back to her crate because she has a thing for the couch cushion. Darn cute annoying dogs.

Quiltingwaldo

Your hexie table runner is an inspiration for me. We learned English paper piecing at our guild last year. I have been looking for ideas to use them, in a smaller scale than a quilt with hundreds and hundreds to make! Thank You for sharing this wonderful table runner! 

Jenniffier

Quiltingwaldo I too can't imagine doing a whole quilt of hexis it would probably be a lot of fun... but my goodness. There are also some really cute pillows on flickr that could be an inspiration for you. Oh yeah and thank you!
