Description

I bought this kit the day the pattern came out on Moda Bakeshop. I was so excited and just had to have it. It was going to be my next project.... And then it got pushed to the side. It is a top now, but still needs to be made into a quilt.

This is such a cute pattern. Love the fabrics you've chosen to go with it too.

I would quilt it with a soft swoopy pattern. Do you ever use templates? You could try one of those. I have a similarly shaped pattern that I quilted, Dad's Flannel Quilt . Are you looking for a modern quilting pattern or something more traditional? You could do feathers up the white zig-zag or check out http://www.daystyledesigns.com/365project.htm
to think about quilting patterns.

This was a close up the quilting I found on a flickr pool photo. Pretty!

Jennifleur Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't know what I am thinking yet for quilting. That is part of the reason I haven't finished this one. I especially like the last one on the flickr. Thanks for leading me in some directions to think about.

Lovely quilt! Lovely dog! :-) We have a German Shepherd, too.

True

I so agree beautiful quilt and dog!! Love the fabrics...

Jenniffier

Janquilter True Thank you so much. She is a sweet girl, one out of two German Shepherds, but she thinks that all the quilts I lay down are for her. I guess it was our own fault for teaching them "place" where we put their place down and they lay there until we release them.

Katisquilting

Beautiful quilt top, I'm in love with that fabric line! I would probably quilt daisies in the middle of the squares and straight lines outlining the squares in the white background. Good look, it'll be a gorgeous quilt no matter how you quilt it.

Katisquilting Thanks for the suggestions.

Jenniffier LOL Just read my comment again, I meant good luck :)) Sorry for the mistake!

Jenniffier

Katisquilting I figured as much! I think with all the auto correct incidences I am starting to over look wrong words and replace them with ones that make sense.

Stamdl

I don't have any quilting advice (sorry) but wanted to say how much I like this!

Jenniffier

Stamdl that is ok. Thanks for the compliment.
