Description

Inspired by the quilt shown here, I am working on my very first granny square quilt. So far I've cut hundreds of 2.5 inch squares from a Moda Bliss Scrap Bag and assembled the first block. It was extremely piddly and very time consuming. I need 20 squares to make this quilt in a lap size. I originally had aspirations to make 2 per day but after doing the first one I think I'll be lucky to finish two per week.

The gray background fabric is broadcloth from fabric.com. I had originally purchased it to use as background fabric for another quilt but it really isn't dark enough for that project. Works perfectly with this one, though, so yippie for me. :-)

I plan to hand quilt this project when assembled.

It looks great - not that I would ever dream of combining pink and green, but that's what you others out there are for - showing me how to make it not "my way"

How is it going with this quilt?? I'm dying to see it assembled as I just love Granny Squares and I love the colors you chose.
