Description

The name of the block that makes up the quilt is called "Depression". Not that this quilt is depressing!  The block design was popular in the 1930's during the great American depression.  It is scrappy and wonderful. I love the way this top came together. It was made by the Birthday Block group on Live Journal in 2008. It's a complete top. I just need to make a backing that will fit and quilt and bind it.

Love blues- these are lovely!

Chandra

I like the simpliciity of this top! I know all those HST's weren't simple to piece though!

True I THIS close to getting a mid arm... when I do I want to practice on this quilt top so for now I think it'll stay in the UFO pile. Maybe next month?!

Stamdl I love this kind of pattern too. I could make half a million of these and never get tired of them. There are so many possibilities!

Jennifleur

Mymble Thank you!

Chandra Actually they were SUPER easy to piece... since this was a birthday block group and I didn't have to piece any of them. LOL

Stamdl

Jennifleur I agree. When I don't know quite what to do with fabric I just start making HSTs!
