Description

This is my first "fusible applique" project. I took a two evening class at a LQS. The have a "class runs no matter what" policy - so there were only 2 students. It was like having your own private lesson! I chose my fabrics to be festive Christmas in theme - as I would really like to have something made by me this Christmas.(tick! tick! tick!)

Additionally - because I am new to my machine I also wanted to try out some of the decorative stitches on my machine.

Dec 21/12: The top is done. One accidental slice into the fabric with my seam ripper as I was trying to remove the stabilizer (which was much more time intensive than I had expected). I covered my ooops! with a satin stitch swirly and hopefully all is well again...

Jan 5/13: hibernating while I make my pincushion.

I love the Old World feel the fabrics have. Hoping to see it done in time for Christmas but I think it means no sleep for the next 3 weeks!
