Really clever- it reminds me of a book with the pages open to all those whimsical designs- really neat!
Heffalump23 absolutely-nothing wrong with red and green but it is nice to think outside the box- especially for children- adorable photo of your daughter snuggled up in her quilt:)
This is a great quilt and I LOVE the picture of her with the book and the quilt!
True Thanks!! I had a lot of fun putting it together. It's funny, despite it being thrown together and not very technical, she loves it!!
I love it! So cute that she had specific requests. I'm sure she adores it just the same no matter how quickly you were able to make it! :)
Jessicalam Most of the things I make her are hand knit and take a while to make, so being able to make a quilt in just a few days (that she loves!) was music to my ears!!!
So so cute and the quilt isn't bad either! I bet she will wear the binding off from snuggling so much with it. Score mom!
Great quilt - and love the picture of her reading the Canadian Tire Magazine - the second I saw it I thought "Must be a Canadian!" (I'm in Canada too).
Terryt1955 Thanks!! I bought extra binding just in case and she's getting a kids sewing machine for Christmas, so I might know what sewing lesson #1 might be!!!
Stitchcat Yup...we're in Canada! Good eye!! We live in Alberta, but are originally from the States.
Oh my I just came back to look at the pictures and realized I didn't even see the one with the adorable fabric for the backing. LOVE text fabric! Who makes it? Next year I'll be making my grandson a Christmas quilt so I need to start stashing now, right!
Terryt1955 I bought it at FabricLand in Canada. It is labeled, "Over the River" by Barbara Jones of Quiltsoup for Henry Glass & Co. Pattern #5624. I know it came in a few colors, but I don't remember which ones. Hope that helps!!
