This is pretty awesome... working with those tiny HSTs might have driven me crazy!
Wow, this is really incredible! And I admire your tenacity in piecing all those tiny HSTs!!!!
HST is short for half-square triangle. Crazy quilter jargon!
Oh my! This is gorgeous! Blue is my fave color, so I'm partial to anything using it:). This looks amazing. Clearly you have lots of patience and talent!
I always love to see your projects because they are so original and make me see things a new (good:) way- and this is no exception- will look forward to the finished project!
I love the zigzags!
That's really striking! Don't think I would have the patience to piece those teeny tiny HSTs!
Wow!! This is so so so cool.
Amazing quilt and the amount of work WOW!
How did I miss this before? I love it. It's a great scrappy project!
How fun! I love how it's turning out!
I somehow missed this until now...it is spectacular!
How do you do this? Just put together some randomness and it turns out amazing!
Wow! This is AWESOME! I love how the randomness creates an awesome pattern. Great job! (But I am a bit partial to blue!) ;-)
It is fabulous. You did a marvellous job. Love the yellow.
That is amazing!! I wonder how many pieces of fabric is in your brain waves so far?
I like projects that are pick up and put down. Yours is a great way to use scraps.
I need to get myslef a design wall too ... ok not for a couple of months ... but it looks so much easier to order scrap blocks (than have a pie and go through them, because you remember that there is that one block thath the scrap is just the right size for the missing part at the right .. )
Strandkorbtraum I actually took down my design wall, because I used the batting for a quilt. In one of these pictures the pieces are on the floor, and in the other they are taped to the wall.... but I totally miss my design wall, I hope you can get one too!
Ahh it's more a thing of me beeing in an in between state. I will finish my BA in February and am going out of town (again) for a Master (hopefully) so I try not to accumulate too many things I will have to move eventually... and batting takes up a lot of space.
It's done! Now what are you going to do with your tiny scraps?
JudyBR I'm not sure. I've been culling my scrap bin a bit and cutting some 2.5" squares when possible, but I don't have any plans for the really small pieces right now...
Wow, what a great, patient job ... it's gorgeous, this quilt ... I love all these little details ... What's its size? I'm really impressed ... ;)))
