I have had this tutorial ready to make for months. For some reason, something always comes up that needs to be done first.
My walking friend and I have also known each other since high school. And this being a small city we've grown up in, our husbands were on the same wrestling team and teach together at the high school we all went to.
Since she's the one who has introduced me to the incredible world of quilting, I had to quilt her something special! I used Moda's Cuzco by Kate Spain (I just love this designJ). She loves purple and has green in the house so using some charm squares and cutting them down to four inch squared seemed to be the best idea.
I found a quilting stitch on my new Ellageo Plus Babylock sewing machine (I am so amazed by this machine) that really added to the elegance of the fabric. The loop can be used for either a handle or a mug marker.
I can't wait to give this to her when we exchange gifts!!
Oh, one more thing . . . I made the blocks 4 square inches instead of 3.5 inches.
