Description

I like to make fabric postcards. The ONE I sent without a plastic protector got lost in the mail, so I'm reluctant to try again. As I find more pics of others I've made I'll just add them to this project.

They are lovely.

Beautiful colors!

Quilterinmotion

Very nice. I've never sent any in a plastic protector and all have reached their destination. It's like anything else; sometimes things get lost in the mail. Don't give up. It's such fun to do and SO much fun to receive.

Juline

Thanks. They're fun and really fast to make. I used double-sided fusible Timtex for its similarity to a good postcard.

True

These are wonderful really love very first one!

Quilterinmotion

Juline , I use the double-sided fusible Timtex also but have used Pellon's double sided fusible. Both work equally well. I should show some of my fabric postcards here too. Maybe a Fabric Postcard group would be a fun group to have! Then we can start exchanging them!!Anyone onboard with this? There are some great tutorials (I recommend this tutorial for newbies to fabric postcards.

Duh! There is such a group and I'm a member!!!!!!! Where is my brain today; must have left in on the floor with the fabric scraps!

Juline

LOL. I'm about out of Timtex, so I'll try Pellon next. Is it as stiff as the Timtex?

Quilterinmotion

Juline , yes you can find it at Joann's and it is less expensive than Timtex and there is a double-sided that is STIFF which is what I use for the postcards. It's right with the other Pellon products and sold by the yard like the rest of the fusibles.

Sewexcitedquilts

Love the design.

Quilterinmotion

These newest ones are great!

Juline

Thank you.

Juline They are all great. I particularly like the yellow flower one. It is so bright and cheery. Quilterinmotion , thanks for the tutorial link. One more project for the "to do" list. :)

I love your postcards! I did swaps of postcards a few years ago. Maybe about 2006 was the heyday. Then the PO changed the rules and it got to be tricky to mail them naked. If you would like to swap some postcards, let me know. I think we can work it out if I can find some clear sleeves.
