I have to admit I am a huge fan of Anna Maria Horner. I have a lot of her fabrics and a few patterns.
This pattern inspired me to make a pillow for each of my daughters. Why in the world did I think my pillow would turn out as beautiful as the pattern cover??? These curves have been absolutely horrific. I've thought about scrapping both of these pillows and calling them huge failures in my sewing repertoire. However, for whatever crazy reason, they are still hanging out on my design board staring at me and begging to be completed. Fingers are crossed for somewhat successful completions by the end of the Winter UFO challenge!!
I finished my first Petal Pusher pillow today! Woohoo!! This pillow was a huge challenge for me with all these curves. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out and, believe it or not, am actually looking forward to the second Petal Pusher pillow I have in the works. I'm determined to conquer curved sewing and improve my skills.
I can't wait for my daughter to get home from school today and see her finished pillow. I think I'll make her bed for her and put the new pillow front and center.
