I love your butterfly! Also the granny square block is awesome:-)
True you mean my butchered fly ... I'm slowly getting to like it but I think I will need a few more works of separation therapy ...
Strandkorbtraum Oh dear- too funny- but the block is adorable- not a butchered fly at all- that would mean a zillion eyes- and that would be nasty indeed- no your butterfly is absolutely sweet- love the fabrics you chose!
Mymble well it just doesn't look like I imagined it .. but as I said I'm becomeing friends with it - I'm just glad posyp likes it ...
I love that April block that I think will be coming to me!!!!
True ahh yes - it's a possibility that it will come to you - I did my part now we just have to hope the postal services will do theirs.
Got your block today safe and sound and I love it! Thank you so much!
pheww I'm glad - so it's not too dark then?
Strandkorbtraum I think the darkness of it makes it a very interesting and intriguing part of quilt. I just took picture but will not be able to post til get home tonight as no time! Now I have to start figuring out how to make a quilt top with all of these. Have some ideas but we shall see. Two more still on their way!
I just love the block with the little girl. Just too cute.
Quilt455 Thanks - well the little girl is the "Mymble" character from the Moomins - you really should look into the books. They are great fun.
The Moomins were great! My mom read them to us as children. I recognized the illustration right off!
Strandkorbtraum I will look into them since I love reading to the grandchildren. Thanks for the tip
Hi Leo- your block for Chandra looks super- I think I recognize a few fabrics in there;))))
Great blocks Leo! All are so creative
Great blocks and your first paper pieced block is awesome!!!
True hehe - yeah now I know I can do it. But I probably won't start on a PP spree. Ok I will have to do some PP for the August block and I promised my mini swap partener some PP-basekt/s for ther mini ...
Strandkorbtraum , you obviously don't have any problems with paper-piecing! That cupcake was a fussy little thing and yours came out so great!!! I just did the August block (and won't be mailing it until August 1st) and you won't mind it at all; it's a breeze!
Quilterinmotion nahh it's just psychological ... I just don't really like it - it sort of becomes work with all the sew fold cut away, sew fold cut away and then it's a bit loosing the fun. Yes the results do look nice - but I'm not sure they are worth all the trouble/work
Strandkorbtraum , that's something only you can decide!! You do a great job, either way.
Quilterinmotion I guess I will just do it some more - becasue yeah you do get exact seams on tiny projects - but HSTs, you really can get perfectly fine HSTs piecing normally ...
Great start- I did the same thing on my first set- had to unpick the last bit and resew it- it's so easy to do because the other way makes sense too:))
I love the blue with the black really striking! Great job:-)
Pretty December block!
Wow, really interesting looking thru and seeing the different bee blocks people chose!
