Description

I'm finally putting my Moda MINI Charm Pack to use! I wanted to make this nine patch mini quilt that I found at Diary of a Quilter, but I didn't have enough fabric. So, I decided to improvise with a table runner, instead.

Update February 9, 2012: All done! Now I just need to wash it to get it crinkly and presentable before I take its final photo (I used this tutorial for the self-binding process). I need to buy some color catchers, but with this blizzard nonsense, that might not be for days, so... I will post these for now.

Update February 19, 2013: Finally a picture of the finished, bound table runner! This is my first quilted item that's larger than a mug rug, so I'm thrilled to have gone through the process. Binding is not so bad when you do self-binding! ;)

Sewnsew

I like it just as much here as I did on your blog. wink

Silsbee

Sewnsew squirrel (Ha! I don't know what squirrel's have to do with this, but he was cute.)

Thanks, you!! :D

Sewnsew

Squirrels?

Silsbee

Sewnsew Yes, those. (GRAMMAR, WHY DO YOU FAIL MEEE?)

;p

Sewnsew

lolol I am completely lost!

Silsbee

Sewnsew I was looking for an emoji to use - cos I like 'em - and I saw the squirrel and I had to use him!! :D And then I realized that I used an apostrophe when I didn't need one! And I am the most confused and confusing person you will ever meet. Ain't I a joy??? :D

Sewnsew

Silsbee lmao I read your message before the squirrel came up. It all makes sense now. I'd use him, too......very cute. Confused and confusing, huh???? I'm the same.....We could be confuzzled sisters!!!!!

Silsbee

Sewnsew Confuzzled sisters, indeed! laughing

Mymble

Love the table runner, love the fabrics, and of course....love the squirrel:)

Silsbee

Mymble Hahaha! That squirrel... :-D
Thanks, Mymble!

True

Love these fabrics so pretty! How much snow did you end up with? we got 32 inches...

Silsbee

True Thank you! :)
We got 26! I still haven't gotten around to digging out my car... Yikes...

Silsbee And that is why I am not longer a New England girl. I totally hate snow. Your table runner is wonderful. Your points are so right on that I am jealous. Great colors too.

Silsbee

Quilt455 :D
I'm getting to that 'hate point' as I get older. It's tedious having to do this just about every year! And up until five years ago I lived in places that cleared snow for you, or places where nobody cared if you left your car buried until the sun melted it. lol. Living in this condo is killing me! ;p

Thank you. :) :)

True

LOVE it...so pretty and bindings get easier all with each one. I found a method of joining the two ends this past year that I love and can do each and every time!

Silsbee

True Thanks, True! I'm really pleased with it. Think I might gift it to my boss. She talked me down from panicking when I got lost. ;-)

Finding a binding method that works for you is a wonderful thing -- no more stalling on finishes due to binding dread!
