I love all the pretty colours you chose for the butterflies. Don't you just love it when something comes together and it feels it was meant to be?
What a sweet story to go along with a sweet quilt. Congrats!
I just love this. I love the different fabrics, the quilting, the story! I think this would be a PERFECT quilt for my daughter. I made a butterfly runner for my twin's bureau. I think this would tie in nicely with the leftover fabrics. If only I could get it done before they grow up...
Maura Thank you so much Maura! These butterflies are very quick to make with raw edge applique. I made blocks 8x8" but it could be also one big fabric and sew lots of butterflies on it! I have made also coasters and mug rugs with these butterflies. You can see more in my 'old' blog http://nerospostandpatch.wordpress.com
Kathskrafts Thank you! You are right - it is so great to see when a work starts to look ready and when there is some funny coincidences! x Teje
This is absolutely gorgeous Tejesarita !! I love the raw edge applique, how it gives the quilt a little more texture. :)
Love... What a great quilt, loving story and lovely colors!
Love this! And the story behind it is so perfect too!
So cute! Congratulations on your marriage!
So lovely! I like how you hand quilted this too - really, really nice!
Thanks! Hand quilting is fun and easier than I expected. x Teje
This is such a lovely quilt, nice work!
