Such a fantastic idea!! I've seen that post going around FB and think it's great that you're so generous. You're so sweet. :) (and I LOVE the 'dice' block ;)
Hey it's the Danish Delights pattern! Don't you just love it?! This table runner is darling with the cute little birdie fabric. What a special treat. You have been one quilting machine this weekend. It's got to be that new machine!
love it!didnt see the posting on facebook... what a nice idea!
Terryt1955 Yes it is and she writes a great pattern...very clear and accurate (Now if I could read and follow that would be even better;-) Thanks Allpatchedup and Justine ...it just seemed like a fun way to achieve lots of things all at once. I laid out fabrics for scrappy border and think I will really like it once done. And I love that bird fabric from Angela...think it will be back as makes it cute enough to use either side.
I'm so glad you like the fabric! I fell in love with it and may just have to go back to it and get some more for myself
I didn't think about quilt-y items when I saw that FB post, True , but what a great way to do some projects you might not want for yourself but would be a fun surprise for those 5. Maybe I'll rethink doing it since seeing yours.
Quilterinmotion it seems all I think about it quilt-y items;-) !! I have a feeling, based on who were my first five, they are hoping I am thinking that way as well;-) But it is such a fun way to try some things...go for it!!
True, what a FAB idea! I love it. I like the dice block too..unexpected but cute!!
Jodyrose thank you so much... I have to wonder how I did not notice the dots made a dice?? Wonder where my head really was;-) but I think all will be well...
I think you didnt see the dice because you were too close to it...thats why they all say to look at your work from a distance :)
Jodyrose Wish I could use that as an excuse but I always out it on design wall...think I was just too focused on other things! Now what I didn't do, which I usually do, is take a picture and look at it as well. I was really focused on spreading out the colors between blocks...but I am pretty sure when add border with some of gray dots in it it will all be fine:-)
Out means put!
This is such a fun idea and I love your first project!
Fun idea. Love your fabric choices as always. I just love using white since it makes everything pop, plus gives it a clean, fresh look.
i am with you on the white True. Never would have thought to use it in a quilt just 6 months ago but after seeing Wendy's use of white in her quilts, I just love it and now have a large amount of it in my stash.
True, they are all so wonderful. It is so hard to pick a favorite. I am so lucky to have her as my sewing buddy. She makes me want to do better and learn new things.
First of all - this is a wonderful runner, Mary! I love the pieced border!!!
Secondly, you and Quilt455 are seriously making me blush! I am so happy that I have inspired you both...but you know what? You both inspire me too!!!
This will definitely make the recipient smile. So sweet!
