Description

This was a commission wallhanging. A dear friends sister loves lighthouses and she wanted me to make this for her sisters birthday.  I purchased a pattern for it, however the original pattern was to finish out at 36x50. and since Nancys was going to go in a very specific spot in her house and it couldnt be larger than 28x34.  I had to redraft the pattern and adjust the water/shoreline as well. I used mostly fabrics from my stash, but did purchase the "rock" fabric. I also highlighted some of the areas with fabric paints. I machine quilted in a meandering pattern overall.

I'm with True on this one. How does one go from squares and triangles to something like this? Mind blowing!

Thank you True and Terry. I love this type of "quilting" Its very free form and my quilting hero is Ruth Reynolds. If you can find one of her books in a library, be prepared to really have your mind blown. Shes AWESOME
