Description

I got this as a quilt kit and I was really excited to make it.  I ran into several issues.  First of all, I cut the grey background wrong. :(  My bad.  Secondly, I could NOT for the life of me match it to whatever 'Shade of grey' they had used.  I talked to the store several times and no one recalled.  So I did my best to match it.  Thirdly,  the squares for the arrow tops were not cut right, so my points on some of the arrows got cut off in the sewing process...which annoyed me to no end.   Fourth, and lastly - my sewing machine didn't want to cooperate with me on the quilting.  Ooops.  Someone forgot to clean her.  HAHA.

I am a little OCD when it comes to quilting.  If my points aren't spot on and the blocks don't line up, I sort of have a meltdown a 3-year old would be afraid of.  Anyway-my husband made me a quilt rack to display my quilts I keep, so this quilt, is on the rack. :)

I would have a similar melt down...however I like this quilt and congrats on the finish...!!

Well, I love this one! Sometimes mistakes are just perfect and make a quilt better than it would have been :)

The cut off points don't detract from the beauty of this lovely quilt, one of my favourite fabric lines from Sweetwater too.

Really cute! The design shows off the super cute fabrics on the arrows, the fabrics camouflage the little teeny-tiny flaws that you see. Funny-post!

Funny. I think we are all a little OCD and that's why we are drawn to quilting. Who else would spend hours ironing fabric just to fold it in perfect little packages to fit into cool storage containers! And I don't find your arrows offensive. Some graphic arrows have squared off ends and don't come to a point. To me it looks like you decided to mix up the arrows to give it interest.

Looks perfect to me :) So sweet of your hubby too to make you a quilt rack. You're a lucky lady :)

Terryt1955 Aww, thank you so much! I totally agree. It's just getting over that initial, ugh - this isn't how it was supposed to be! :)

Lisa_Marie Thank you! He is a sweet guy, who 'mostly' supports my quilt/fabric habit! :)
