Description

I went on a shop hop with a friend the Friday before Christmas--right when we really should NOT have been buying more fabric just for fun! But although I was looking for specific fabric for some WIPs, I can't help the fact that some fabric just leapt off the shelves into my arms and begged to came home. One shop had their holiday fabrics on sale 25% off so I bought the Christmas tree fabric and the green to coordinate. I have Christmas fabric in my stash already that has never been used, so in the name of not adding even more to that bin I decided to use this fabric immediately. As soon as I got home that afternoon, I sat at my computer and designed a fast table runner with an eight-pointed star and sized it (using EQ7) to use exactly the amount of fabric I had, adding white from my stash. I finished the runner that weekend. Fortunately, it's exactly the right size for the coffee table in my family room. (In the picture, you'll also see some of my Christmas decorations--pudgy birds. I have a thing for pudgy birds!)

The pudgies look very happy with their lovely perch! Great colors and love the stars!

Love this...love the stars and love the fabric...and the pudgy birds as well. And of course this fabric buy was not your fault I mean what is a quilter to do with fabric that forces itself on you;-)!!!!

Thanks, Terryt1955 True Quilt455 . I had fun making it! Now I've got to figure out a good design to use a bunch of pink fabric scraps for a Valentine's table runner. Any suggestions are welcome!
