Description

One of my young friends is having her first baby (a boy) and I wanted to make something special for him.  This is a pattern/video and fabric from Missour Star Quilting Company (love their videos).

Forgot to mention, my husband picked the fabric for the backing - the couple having the baby are his friends too - and, besides, he is going to be in this longarm quilting business with me, so I'm glad he wants to be involved.

1/18/13 - Finally finished binding and washing and drying the quilt.  Ready to wrap up and give to the new mom and dad.

Rebecca

What a fun pattern for I-spy! I have a couple I-spys in the planning stage so I've been looking for pattern ideas. Thanks for including the tutorial!

True

Love this fun spin on an I spy quilt!

Dzirin

This is fabulous.

Mymble

Really clever! And BTW....my youngest daughter's name is Glenna:)

Glenna

Mymble Wow, not too many of us Glenna's around - I was supposed to be Glenn Jr. - surprise, I wasn't a boy. My paternal grandmother named me. My mom & dad didn't have a girl's name picked out. I've always loved my name.

Mymble

Glenna Yes- means "from the peaceful place or valley" in Gaelic or literally "from the Glen" - we're Scots wannabees;)))))

Glenna

Yeah! me too - Scots, Irish, and English. I think my grandmother's folks were from Ireland.

Kathie

I love your quilt! It's the one I plan on using for my I Spy charm swap. Thanks for reminding me where I saw it and the link!

Glenna

Kathie you are welcome. It is a fun quilt to make.

The black background really sets off these fun I Spy prints. Love it!
