Description

This pinkeep pattern was from a Stacy Nash Club.  The crowns on it just called to me since my last name is King.  I knew I had to make it some day and I finally did.  I made some changes to it as usual.  I changed the letter above the crowns to the first letter of my name, my daughter, my husband, my son and the last letter is for our last name.  I also changed the year on it from 1828 to 2013 (the year it was stitched) and of course I changed the name from Mary to Kath which is my nickname.  Now I just have to finish sewing the pinkeep together.  The pattern calls for you to stuff it tightly with sawdust and age it with a mixture of crushed walnuts and water which you apply with a paint brush and then dry it in the oven.

It is fabulous. I love how you changed the letters. You can use Parisian essence (gravy browning) in the same way if it is easier.

I've not heard of Parisian essence before to age an item. I'll have to google that to read up on it. Thanks for the information, I always like having an alternative to chose from.

That is really cool. I love the way you group the items.
