First a really, really big hug and I am sorry:-(. Second I love these and they will be so darn cute when done!! And they will make you smile...at some point maybe not today but soon:-)
True Thank you. I appreciate your kind words very much and thank you for the hug, too! I think they would look really cute in minature....and giant size, too! Maybe future projects.
Love your goal to finish them. Bittersweet memories all the while you work on them. When you are done, send them off to a children's hospital and there will be smiles enough to make it all good. They are just plain wonderful.
Have another hug, from me. hugs
They will be adorable, though, and I'm glad you're working on them again.
Love them done! And thought you'd like to hear we are in middle of a blizzard over two feet since yesterday and 50 mph winds...it was over my lab's heads in spots when they went out!
True That is mind boggling! Do you get flooding the snow melts? Did your dogs enjoy it? We have the opposite today. Those winds are huge! That would cause all sorts of problems on top of the snow, too, wouldn't it? The forecast is for 106F here, but it will get 2 or 3 degrees hotter here. I'm just about to close up the house. It is hot already and it is only 9.15am! I''m planning on sitting in the aircon....sewing! lol Lisamarie66 Thank you x3! Silsbee I managed to jam almost a whole bed pillow's worth of stuffing in there....lol
Sewnsew Omg I am melting thinking of you! We ended up with 32 inches of snow since yesterday morning...I have never seen this much snow at once! The winds were scary but we were lucky as we did not need to go anywhere last night or today so just sat tight and we did not lose electricity! That in itself was amazing:-) The dogs were actually totally overwhelmed by it...they like snow but not when they cannot move in it. My son went out and shoveled paths for them and that help them a lot. Whether or not it floods depends on how much we get in a season and how fast it melts...hope it is slow this go round! Stay cool...
True That amount of snow is absolutely mind boggling! When it gets really windy like that it is scary. When I was a kid we lived in a cyclone area and went through a few of those with high winds. We were supposed to stay away from the windows, but would sneak a peak....All we could see was red mud! It would be the same for you, too, wouldn't it, except snow? Your poor dogs. Your son sounds like a sweetie. Was the path in Frolic on the Sea quilt one he cleared? It was 104F today.....and the air conditioning in my classroom and the one next door (we share the aircon) was broken! It was NOT pleasant....and is going to be as hot tomorrow, too.
Sewnsew I now use the easy triangle method for making something to hang my quilts and love it! I would die in heat like that I know I would. What you see in picture is our driveway my son (who is a sweetie...a great young man) is most grateful I pay our neighbor to do it with his snow blower! And even that was amazing to watch it was so deep.
Sewnsew Oops I combined my comments into one post... The triangle comment was meant for wall hanging project. Clearly need to get my mind working this morning!
lol No worries! I tried the triangle thingo, but found the quilts sagged in the middle. It was only after I unpicked the binding, too the offending triangles out and added sleeves that I thought I could add just a small sleeve to the middle. lol I bet he is grateful! That is a lot of snow. Iol I stay out of the sun as much as possible and drink a lot of water plus some electrolyte drinks.
