Description

Queen Bee picked this wonderful Garden Path in purples and greens. I've admired this block so I'm glad she chose it. This first one is just a dry run to make sure my machine was in the mood for piecing. My second block will have a little bit more lively fabric. But it's always good to have a few plain blocks to intersperse with the busy ones so I'll send this as well.

I am having so much fun with this block! Finished the 2nd one and Ill admit I'm fond of polka dots so I'm liking how this one turned out.

I like this one! I really love these colors together it is going to make a great quilt:-)

Quilt455

Carolmarie pretty. This block looked so complicated to me until I saw the pictures witth the steps. Love the fabric you picked. I would never have put purple and green together; can't wait to see how you hive member puts the whole thing together. If your block is any indecation, it will be beautiful

I am totally in love with this color combination True , Carolmarie and Quilt455 . It reminds me of pansies and Lime Rickey Hucherra which I absolutely love in the garden.
I thought this block was going to be tricky but when broken down it's not. I can hardly wait to see what the Queen Bee is going to do with her blocks.

Terryt1955 and Quilt455 this block so represents what I love about quilting...something can look so complicated (and some are!) and then once you figure out how it is put together you can do it!!

Sewnsew

It looks fabulous. Love the colour combo.

AllPatchedUp

The block looks great Terry!
I'm glad breaking the blocks down is making them easier for you all. :) Eventually you will all look at a quilt block and breaking it down into it's separate parts will be second nature. ;) lol

Quilt455

I think I have to make this block too even if I am in a different hive. I am going to be making my own sampler with all the blocks from the other hives if I keep this up. Their just all so beautiful. I planned on doing a sampler from all the blocks in Hive 3 but may be doing 2 or even 3 samplers if all the blocks look this beautiful

Terryt1955

Quilt455 What a great idea to make a sampler quilt! And I know what you mean about loving all the blocks everyone is making. It's so much fun seeing the different fabric combinations.

Allpatchedup I'm finished with your mom's so I will be able to pop them in the mail. Now on to sewing on the binding for the quilt that has to be done by Wednesday!

AllPatchedUp

Oh dear....definitely time to get on that binding if it needs to be finished by Wed. Good luck!! :)

Sewnsew

Ohhhh I like the spots!

Sewnsew

They both look good together.

True

LOVE the polka dots and I love seeing both blocks together they show just how gorgeous this quilt will be!

Terryt1955

True When I put the 2 blocks together I wanted to make a quilt for myself. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

True

Terryt1955 felt same way I have planned to make this pattern as a thank you for someone and this inspires me to get going on some other things so I can get to it!

Terryt1955

True Do you have a color scheme in mind yet?

True

Terryt1955 I have fabric left from these two quilts Peonies In Bloom and Kristine's Garden that the person it is for loves so was planning to use them with white. I should have done a long time ago but really needed a break from working with this fabric! But seems a shame not to use it as have quite a bit...

Terryt1955

Those fabrics will make up a great Garden Path quilt! It will be a soft looking quilt-like walking through a rose garden.
