Description

Over the last 2 years or so, I've accumulated a basket of scraps from various projects. Yesterday, the basket called to me and I felt compelled to just start picking up the pieces of scraps and sewing them together and thereby making a larger piece of material. I didn't have any rhyme or reason, just arranged the pieces, sewed them together using a 1/4" seam, pressing them to the dark...or where ever the cloth wanted to go, then sewing the larger pieces together until they roughly made enough to trim out to a 12 1/2" block. Is this even a method of quilting blocks?
VOILA! After a few hours of blissfully running material through my machine, 9 different, very crazy blocks emerged and my scrap basket is much lighter.
I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with them....maybe sash them and put them in a quilt on their own...or other 12 1/2" blocks that have a pattern and are a little more sane.

My favorite quilts are scrappy quilts.

Very cool. Someday soon my scrap box will be big enough for this! ;)

Super- looks like you have the start of an awesome quilt!

Love the "hodge-podge" look of the squares.
