Description

Stepping Stone Path block for Queen +Quilt455.

The scant 1/4" seam tried to sink me on this one, but with lots of help from my Newbee-mates, I finally got it!

I'm posting pics of my first two attempts also (one was too short, one was too wide - I don't even know... ) because I still kinda like 'em. ;-)

Oh my goodness Silsbee, you did wonderful, Your points are right on and love your fabric selection. You must save the other two blocks and use them in a project; just to pretty not too. Thank you so very much. You really did do great! And I still haven't made mine with that scant 1/4 " so I will let you know how it goes for me. I guess after looking at yours, practice does make perfect.

Yay! Thanks, Cathie, I'm so glad you like it. :D
I want to send you one of the first ones in case you want to make it into a little pillow or something to go with the quilt. I think the blue fabric in that first one was too stretchy, and it pulled the block even more out of shape. :(

You picked such a beautiful block! It's been amazing seeing what people have done, and I look forward to seeing what you do with your quilt! :) :)

Silsbee

Carolmarie , that darn scant seam!! Three times must really be the charm, right?? smile It's good to have such helpful people around. And now we are on a roll! :) :)

Silsbee , Carolmarie , and everyone else....you are all doing fantastic. That pesky scant seam stuff is not always so easy to understand, especially when we're explaining this all online. lol But, once you've got it, you'll be well on your way to having your blocks come out exactly the right size each time. :)
