My mom gave me a pack of eight fat quarters a while back. It took me a while to think of a project for it, but here it is! The back side has a pocket for the folder with emergency and medical information (just in case). Inside, there are pockets for diapers, wipes, swim diapers and covers, sunscreen, ointments and creams, and the little travel kit of baby soap and shampoo and that sort of thing.
The middle section is three fat quarters cut to 13.5 inches by 17 inches, with the third one folded down two inches to make a pocket for the folder. The smaller pockets are made from a fat quarter cut into two 8.5x19 strips, folded in half. The sides are 10x17 with pockets 8.5x17, folded in half like the middle section. I used batting to give it some more stability, too. I'm not sure the exact name of the fabric, but it was designed for Moda. I used the fancy sparkly thread my mom gave me for Christmas for the top stitching.
