March 2013: Granny Square Block.
Terrysim is Queen for March & she picked this block which I absolutely love!! It has so many options when you play with color, fabric, placement, etc. I have always wanted to make this block and I plan to start making blocks of my own. I will try to give up a block to send to Terrysim this month - LOL!!
April 2013: Pinwheel with Log CabinRobynn is Queen of April & she put together a block using 2 of her favorite blocks - the pinwheel and the log cabin. She combined 2 tutorials for the 2 different block components. The tutorial for the pinwheel portion can be found here using one pinwheel block and the log cabin tutorial here using 1 1/2 in strips. The pinwheel could be any bright colors, but she requested the log cabin portion have colors of the beach using blues, purples, aqua, and turquoise. She wanted the quilt to remind her of the ocean. Final block size is10.5" square.03/31/13 - complete April Block. This block was SEW FUN!
