Really clever-wonderful piecing and the fabrics are super.
Wow what an amazing work of art! Perfect...
That is amazing! I have great respect for those that do paper-piecing after I tried it recently. Followed your link and wandered over to the Flickr group to see the other amazing variations of this adorable woodpecker. Really neat!
Ha! You've come a long way since Pretty in Patchwork -redemption! :)
this is amazing! I am super impressed.
Sewzalot It is fun to see what version others come up with on flckr.
I know! (about Pretty Patchwork redemption). I have to say I did have to rip more than a few seams to get this block right. The woodpecker was a challenging block but there is a huge difference when thorough directions are provided.
That is adorable. Great fabric choices.
This is so awesome - and great to know there are good directions! I love your I'm going to join this one and do at least some of the blocks, if not all. Great fabric selection/placement!
Thanks! Rebecca , I'm glad you're going to join. It's lots of fun so far.
I was curious, can you make paper pieced patterns on the Threadbias Quilt design tool?
Whatthebobbin Yes, it should work for that and we will be improving things to make it better. There is an option to export a single shape - like for a template, or you can export line drawings as a foundation template. Right now it doesn't give you the 1/4" seam allowance line because we were finding some problems with that function, but Alex is working on getting it figured out so we can offer that as an option. Also right now you can't directly export selected groups of pieces as a unit from larger design, as you would make the "sections" off a larger design in a lot of foundation paper piecing. (Each corner of a star block for example) You can copy and select the groups of shapes (your foundation unit) onto another workspace so you can export it individually. Does that make sense?
As True mentioned there is a freeform vector drawing tool and a bunch of standard shapes that can be easily manipulated to allow you to draw out just about anything. You can try it out on the smaller canvas to play around with it. Just let me know if you have questions.
So pretty! I love the purple in the feathers!
Oh I love these...this is the coolest QAL!
this is amazing!
Oh my another to love!
These are looking great! I would love to try paper piecing. Great job!!!
Fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing. I will check out the QAL and see if I can squeeze in some of the blocks on my already very long list of things to quilt!
Stunning. I've seen these on the quilt along and am very tempted.
What great blocks! And I love your choice of fabrics and colors!
This looks so awesome all done...great work!
I love how this all came together...beautiful!
What an amazing quilt this is!! Mind-boggling really. I Love it. Especially the trees and the fox!!
Wow. Absolutely stunning
Don't sell yourself short. Your version and mine would be very different :) I do hope to start paper piecing. Maybe some day mine will look as nice as yours.
