Description

This was my wall quilt submission for the Modern Quilt Guild's Madrona Road Challenge. The circles are appliqued and then cut into quarters. I raw edge appliqued them on to get a little fraying after washing. I love the end quilt, although it is not snuggly enough to sleep with. Too stiff from the appliques even though I tried to just use fusible web on the outside of the circles. I just echoed the circles for the quilting, since I didn't want to overwhelm the design. Finished at 30x30 inches.

Cool process. The circles don't look too stiff!

I would have had a really hard time cutting those lovely circles! But the end product was worth it. Love the echo quilting on this and I so love blue and yellow together.
