Description

16 March 2013

Decided to take the plunge and try this quilt. I have the book, and the templates which I have separated into bags so I can easily find them. The fabric I got as a Christmas present and love the combinations. I have added a few other plainer pieces to the selection. So we watch this space.

Block 1 - complete. Found a little difficult to get the 6.5" all around. Nearly correct though.

You are so organized! Impressed! Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Looking forward to seeing what happens!

Stonefence Sewzalot So am I. Got a few pieces of plainer fabric to add to the colours and am going to take some advice to not go in order but start with the more basic squares.

How did you do your templates? Mine came out the wrong size when we printed them.

Capetowngirl

Janquilter I printed them off a PDF that had a few templates on each page - taken from the Yahoo Farmers Wife sight. Only 15 pages then instead of 106. Seem to be the right size.

Ok, I wondered if you had done that. So far, I am doing OK because I have only done the ones that don't need templates. I may have to venture into the Yahoo group and get the rest. Thanks for the info.

This will be fun to watch come together. Are you hand or machine piecing?

A beautiful block! You're off to a great start.

Capetowngirl

Sewexcitedquilts I am machine sewing this.
