Description

This is my first attempt at making the apron using the pattern we're using for the April apron swap (Progressive Swap) here on Threadbias. As you can see in the pictures I had a hard time wrapping my head around the casing used for the neck strap and waist ties. First, I cut the angle wrong on one side then I cut the three yards of ribbon into three 1 yard pieces. Yikes! Well, I made it work. This one is for me and I can live with the imperfections next time will be better for sure. I know what I'm supposed to be doing, I think!

Did my pictures not help? I thought the directions were a little vague. But once you go "oh, that's what they mean!" It's a fairly easy pattern, isn't it. Nice job on yours!

Would you link it to the group? Might help some of the other ladies in the swap. Thanks!

Chrissybugs Your pictures helped clarify absolutely. I can be a little dense sometimes. I cut the first angle correct but the second, not so much. And the ribbon, three areas to place it, cut it into three pieces, WRONG! I would also like to note, don't use cheap towels, like I did on this one. They SHRINK, a lot! Mine shrunk 2 inches all the way around. I'm a size 16 and losing those two inches makes it kinda' small for me. Live and learn, right?

But an inexpensive towel is a good place to start! I think having this project in my repertoire is going to be good! Makes a great last minute gift!

Chrissybugs i agree on both counts. Glad I messed up on a cheap towel rather than an expensive one, for sure. And having this project in my repertoire is a good thing. My eleven year old daughter is quite proud of me for it. She asked to wear the other day while she was baking.
