Description

I just had a new baby.  He's wonderful, but he loves to sleep on my chest.  All.The.Time.  Not feasible when you are a mom to seven and there are things you need your hands free to get done!  So, I found a link online somewhere to make my own moby wrap.  I didn't want to spend $50 dollars for a piece of fabric when I could make my own!  I ended up ordering from Joann.com and bought 6 yards of a knit/spandex fabric that, with coupon, cost less than the price of 1/4 of the price of one in store.  The best part?  I got two wraps out of the fabric!

All I did was cut the fabric down the middle and hem the edges.  Let me tell you though, it takes a while to sew 40 feet of fabric!  I have yet to hem the second one :wink:

aw...too sweet- very clever idea! I don't think I could have gotten through my third child's first 9 months without something like this- she needed to be kept close too-wish I'd had a pattern like this 16 years ago:) ' cause I would up buying the one in the catalog- still it was worth it for the peace of baby and mom- yours looks very happy indeed!

Great and creative idea...and congrats so sweet!

Nice! I used one without hemming - the knit just rolled in a bit on the edges. smile Congratulations!
