I want this chair in real life too!! Really pretty
True Thank you! It was a lot of fun to stitch. One of the commenters on my blog gave me a great idea to do the borders in crazy quilt style... then I could embellish the seams with more of the pretty thread. I'm giving that some serious thought!
This is so cute....I looks like that chair would be so nice and cozy!
There's a kid's book about saving money to buy a chair for a hard working mom. This chair reminds me of that story. Wonderful embroidery!
Really lovely- and yes, Chrissybugs is referring to a book my daughter and I read over and over again called "A Chair for My Mother"
I love this! I bought the pattern a couple days ago, I can't wait to make it. Where did you find the threads? Can you share what colors you used? Those colors are BEAUTIFUL also! Thank you for sharing!
Sislanes Mymble Thank you both! I bought my threads online from http://www.happinessisquilting.com/store/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=1098. They had the best selection I could find. I used #9415 (pink) #9865 (green) and #8779 (grey).
Just love this! Looks like we love to do all the same things. So many idea's, so little time.
Thank you for the link for the floss and also the numbers. I'm working on a new pattern from Crabapple Hill, it's a teapot with flowers, I have 2 of them already colored and I'm going to start stitching them up. I'm using a new (for me) embroidery thread called Cosmo, I can't wait to try it out. So, now I'll have to work on my chair embroidery also..lol
