April Quilt Guild Projects by Kathie
I joined our local quilt guild when I found out how generous they were to many of our county and city non-profit organizations. I found something that would allow me to share my love of sewing AND be able to give to others in need.
My project for the April meeting was to make pillow cases and complete a top for a quilt. The projects were in packages so I had no idea how they would look until I completed them (a kind of mystery project).
The quilt top had numbers pinned on piles of squares and the only instructions I had is that they were to be pieced in the order I found them and I would discover the pattern once I finished.
The fabric for the pillow cases were coordinated by someone else and then I did the sewing. I decided to use French Seams to make them a little bit more special.
These were fun and quick projects that will be going to someone who really needs them !
