Description

I am so fond of these quilts.  I really wanted to make some "manly" quilts for my teenaged sons.  As soon as I saw Curious Nature by Parson Gray, I knew it was the fabric I needed.  I bought a half yard bundle of all the prints and set to work.  These are what resulted for my 14 and 16 year old (at the time) sons.  The quilts are bound in Kona solid in Pepper and backed with a charcoal print in flannel from my local quilt shop.  I call the blue one, Water, and the green one, Woods, since this has what has surrounded these boys throughout their years so far, which I am grateful for...  I finished these May 2012.

And together.
This is the one I call "woods". No binding yet in the picture.
This one is "water", and I am basting it in the picture.

nathessey True Rebecca Thank you! So do I, I almost wish I got to see them more than the odd time I venture into my sons' boy "lair" 

What a great design for guys! Raising 4 boys, I too tried to make masculine quilts...it was a challenge, for sure. I love the fact that this is squares...the setting is everything.

Aizome

Perfect for your boys. And you made them both so quick. :blueheart greenheart:
