Faux Chenille Quilt by sareew
I know, I know... I missed the craze a couple years ago when everyone was making these. But I didn't have my sewing machine yet! Now that I do, I want to try one. It cracks me up that the ladies who post their stories about making one of these blankets all complain about the time it takes and how tedious it is, and they sew line after line, and cut line after line of flannel and would NEVER do it again. They throw it in the washer and dryer and absolutely fall in love!!!! Then they can't wait to make another. I wonder if my experience will be the same. We will see!
I will do the pink, yellow, and purple flannel for the chenille. I will most likely put a white layer under the giraffe fabric so you cannot see the back of the design once the chenille is cut.
The teal cotton is to attempt to make bias tape!
