Description

This quilt is finished and measures just under a crib quilt at 37"x 50". It was a lot of fun to make with lots of scraps and yellow finished it out front, back and binding. It's for sale in my etsy shop. https://www.etsy.com/listing/180931149/patchwork-quilt-yellow-bright-colors-boy?ref=shop_home_feat_1

I just love this scrappy block. You've probably seen these blocks and quilts around Flickr as started from Bad Skirt Amy's great Flickr group and tutorial. For this quilt scraps are perfect. Little squares and lots of pattern are used to make this intense and modern quilt.
I am using scraps from all over but hardly any of my own! I found a great modern scrap bag at a local thrift store and I won a bag from Spontaneous Threads a few months ago. Oh, and another from a fabric swap from 2 years ago.
This is another quilt I don't plan of finishing very soon, it might take me a while to make enough for a lap quilt!

Fun combo of fabrics.

I'm usually late to the party- so I had never seen this block before- this is great- thanks so much for sharing the tutorial- your quilt will be marvelous when you finally finish it but this looks like one where half the fun is in the journey:)))

Wow! The scrappiness looks great! I love how different your blocks are to the others I've seen which have a more 'controlled' look.

Love the bright colours and scrappiness. Looks fab!

Love your blocks and colors. Nice job. You have a special knack for putting the fabrics together.
