Little Apples n Linen Mini by Drkornea
The Dallas Modern Quilt Guild had tons of scraps of Moda Little Apples and I used some to make this mini quilt. It only took me 3 days to finish! I have a full time job, so that's incredible for me :) The strips were already those widths and I just started sewing with no real idea how it would turn out. When I made the stripped blocks, I decided I needed a wonky log cabin on the back. I didn't want to use white so I found a linen remnant I'd picked up at Joann and bound it with bright red. I think this will hang on my kitchen wall to brighten up the space.
I'd call this my first truly "modern" quilt because I just improvised the whole thing and it's wonky. This is hard for me to do because of my type A++++ personality :)
