#8  +Chrissybugs Christine had her embroidery machine in high gear and sent this amazing Paris block- c'est magnifique! I have also added a photo of the shoelaces she included- to jazz up my sneakers for when I'm trekking across Europe !
#9 Leo +Strandkorbtraum  has floored me with a Mymble block (Finland) - it is simply perfect!
#10 +Chandra  was inspired by the ceiling of the cathedral in Florence and sent me not only her block, but her practice block as well...which is a pretty spectacular "practice"- beautiful colors making an awesome mosaic !
#11 Amazing Chalk Horse from Rosemary ( +Posyp )- may be difficult to make out from the photo but the blue fabric looks like ocean waves, and the greens include some amazing batiks- just beautiful!  I have also included a photo of the beautiful thimble and bag Rosemary sent with her block- they are marvelous!

Chrissybugs

Great blocks! I love the multi fabric in True's. And, Rebecca, where did you get windmill fabric? Very cute! Margaret, is the background fabric in both of those white? Should we stick with that?

True

This is going to be an amazing quilt! Cannot wait to see rest...

Mymble

Chrissybugs Actually the background fabrics are cream- very old world looking, but if blocks come in with white that's fine too - I'm thinking of a non symmetrical placement with some other fabric for sashing so everything is very flexible:)

Mymble

True Thanks- yes it's getting so exciting now that the blocks are coming in...I want to do a placement that sort of looks like an old travel album- you know the kind with little photo tabs in the corners...so I may set some of the blocks at and angle and sash some of them larger too...it's all a mish mash in the mind's eye right now:)

Rebeccajeffsmith

Chrissybugs Windmills came from A shop in PA.

True

Mymble this will be so cool!

True

Oh my goodness what awesome new blocks amazing!

Terryt1955

Wow, the Celtic block is amazing! Is it one continuous bias strip appliqued on?

Mouseinmypocket

Mymble

Terryt1955 yes it appears so...amazing:)

Mymble

Mouseinmypocket yes...its so fun seeing them come in!

True

OMG what a cute Rome block!!!

Mymble

True Isn't it great- I think we need to take a trip to Marsha's and she could do a workshop for us in landscape quilting:)....if we all showed up on her doorstep would she let us in?

True

Mymble well it is worth a try right?!!;-)

Quilterinmotion

True , Mymble - wouldn't that just be a ball? Of course you remember I live in an RV. I can just see us crowded around my little table. I'd love to do a landscape workshop but alas, we are too far apart! Thanks you two; you are building up my confidence!

True

Quilterinmotion you can park your RV at my house and we will have plenty of room then;-)!

Capetowngirl

Mymble

True
Mymble

Quilterinmotion well we can dream can't we- I have a large sunroom that would be perfect for a sewing party- now don't you ladies feel the need to visit Baltimore??? I mean...it is Charm City after all;)))))

Quilterinmotion

Mymble , Baltimore, oh my! I've been there a few times for a convention. Lovely place; enjoy the waterfront so much! I'd love to come!

Mymble

Quilterinmotion Just give me enough heads up to vacuum and of course lay in a supply of chocolate:)...of course

Quilterinmotion

+Mymbles, dark chocolate please.....

True

Quilterinmotion Mymble I am packing as I type;-)

Quilterinmotion

+Mymbles, your blocks are looking great! Is your mind spinning as you try to think about how you will lay the quilt out? It's going to fun to see what you do with your Grand Tour.

Mymble

Quilterinmotion Oh you bet...A few more blocks are coming in and then I will have a mulling and thinking session...any ideas are gladly welcomed:)- I think I want to do a sort of angled, photo album look but I really don't know how that will work- so it's going to be a long think;))))

Quilterinmotion

I saw your idea of that mentioned earlier. I think it would be a unique way to do them. Try drawing it out on paper and see what you think....or use that design tool available here on Threadbias. I draw things out as I'm more of a hands-on and I love to draw anyway.

True

OMG Chrissybugs block is beyond wonderful!! Simply love it...

Mymble

Isn't it- she really had her machine stoked;))))- so much fun!

Laweigel

That Mymble block is so fun, Leo was very clever! This is going to be a great quilt!

Mymble

Laweigel Lori at this point I may never let this quilt out of my sight- I'll just carry it around with me like Linus:)))

True

Awesome new blocks...going to be amazing!

Mymble

Great minds;)))_ I actually have the townhouses print and have been drooling over the map of Italy- may splurge on a wee bit;)))

The block is reverse raw edge applique- so cool- and works perfectly with the subject matter- the whole block has a very organic feel apropos to an archeological site!!

Quilterinmotion

Mymble , you really have some awesome blocks there! What a great selection of locations and ideas. This group rocks@!@!!

Kruppcake
