Sewbusy64

your block looks great - love the green!! I hope it was fun.

PurpleIris

Sewbusy64 Yes, it was fun. Any excuse to play with batiks makes me happy!

ArloDeanQuilts

Love your August block. The batiks are wonderful.

emptysea

Ooo - vibrant - nice~!

beadqueene

wow your star block looks great in Batiks!

PurpleIris

Thanks, everyone! I had fun cracking open a charm pack for the August block. Now I just need a project for those remaining batik squares...

libellenart

Sooo pretty , I agree with everyone , those batiks look great with this block

beadqueene

PurpleIris I think they would make an awesome beach/pool even though summer is coming to a close, lol

IheartDL

Looks so great! I can't wait to get my paws on it!!!

Quilt455

Wow, August block is outstanding. The batiks are great. I am not usually a batiks fan but I love each one of these.

beadqueene

Quilt455 I didn't think I liked them either, but the more I see, the better I like them :)

PurpleIris

Quilt455 I think these batiks worked for this block because each square was a single hue at the same saturation throughout -- none of the ombré and fading effects you get in a lot of batiks.

Quilt455

PurpleIris So true; wonder if that is why I like them so much.

HawkFan

PurpleIris I'm glad you commented on the color saturation. I am still working to learn about color value and comments like yours are very helpful. I also love the blocks so that's a bonus

beadqueene

I got my block for Nov. a while ago. Life/Work have been crazy so I forgot to send you a PM, but Thank you for taking the time to make it up in advance :)

PurpleIris

beadqueene No problem, and you're welcome. I've been looking at the blocks everyone else has made, and it's going to be a good-looking quilt!

PurpleIris

Menolly13 emptysea I have at last finished your blocks. Hooray! They'll be in the mail soon.

Menolly13

PurpleIris It is gorgeous! The greens are so vibrant and are perfect since that is a color that isn't well represented in the other blocks. Thank you so much!

emptysea

Very nice rainbow color wheel! It will look spectacular with the rest of them. Can't wait to see it in person.

Missriain

Great blocks!!!

True

Love your February blocks! Especially the blue one...wow

PurpleIris

True Thanks! This month was tricky for me. I prefer abstract prints, so it took some digging (and shopping) to find designs for the I-spy squares.

emptysea

Great economy blocks~!

libellenart

MoulinRogue

Love the economy blocks! So colorful.

Missriain

Love the economy blocks! Thank you!!

libellenart

So pretty !!! Loving your star !

ArloDeanQuilts

Love your march star!!! It is perfect!! I have some of the aqua on aqua fabric you used. I am using it in my Star Bright Star Bright QAL.

PurpleIris

ArloDeanQuilts Glad you like it! I'll try to get it in the mail by the end of the week.

Quilt455
