Slicksister

This is lovely!

sareew

I like that you did the reverse, and made the printed fabric the background!

ArloDeanQuilts

I love the fabric!

Sewbusy64

I received your block last week....it's the perfect contrast with other blocks from the hive...hope to get pics soon to post. I love it!!

emptysea

I really like the block you made for Angie - great choice of text prints~!

Sewbusy64

Adore the fabrics you used for the flying geese block. I love text fabrics

beadqueene

Sewbusy64 emptysea Thanks! I thought the text looked "declaration of independence"-y lol. Glad you guys like it, I love how it turned out so much that I'm considering making myself a patriotic quilt.

Sewbusy64

beadqueene yes...the script does give it that look, I really like it

ArloDeanQuilts

Love the flying geese block.

Sewbusy64

i really really like your tree block - you always pick awesome fabrics.

beadqueene

Sewbusy64 I buy lots of scrap packs to add variety to my stash at around $6/yard. All of these except the white are "scraps" :). Thanks for the complement Cinda :)

Sewbusy64

beadqueene where do you purchase all of these scrap packs - i love scraps. do you mind sharing? I have found a few on etsy but sometimes priced at the value of 8 or more per yard

beadqueene

I like to get mine at Hawthorne Threads. Huge pieces of modern fabrics, some have been close to fat quarters in size. I've bought a few on etsy too but I'm not sure the sellers

beadqueene

Sewbusy64 i have some pics of the Hawthorne threads ones in my Flickr photostream if you wanted a preview

Sewbusy64

beadqueene Yay!! thanks I will take a peek sometimes Im concerned about purchasing from people on etsy etc that i dont know so far , so good I have an older fabric stash and am updating it...scraps can give you a more variety of fabrics to try

Slicksister

I buy scraps all the time. Other than fabrics for back that's about all I use for quilting. I love Hawthorne Threads but I've never bought scarps from them before. I use several sellers on Etsy and never had a bad experience.

Slicksister

Oh and by the way, I love your square!!
