Chicken doorstops and paperweights by Legogirl
Home & Decoration
At Easter I decided I wanted to make some fabric chickens. So I did and have not stopped. Each time I make some I change the pattern. I started off with small chickens for Easter decorations, then decided to make bigger ones and use them as doorstops in various rooms. Then all my family saw them and I ended up making my sister a doorstop and 2 small chickens and 8 small ones for friends.
Then I made some smaller ones for my nieces (1yrs and 3yrs) as extra Easter presents. These were stuffed with toy stuffing and the others were and are stuffed with toy stuffing and dried rice ( I dried the rice out by putting it in the oven for 20 minutes, so if it ever gets wet it would not become soggy.) I used up lots of scrap fabric for the small ones and have just finished my last few. I have made over 30 fabric chickens since March. Here are some of the chickens.
